Join the Alexander Friends of the Library, Alexander Chapter of the NAACP, and Alexander County Library Monday, November 13th at CVCC Alexander Campus–Room 103 at 7:00 pm for film screening and presentation.

The film tells the story of the late Alice Tregay, a woman from Chicago who confronted injustice in her community by joining Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in marches for fair housing and desegregation in Chicago Public Schools. Along with Dr. King, she worked with other civil rights leaders to create Operation Breadbasket and led in other political movements including voter registration for campaigns for Mayor Harold Washington, Presidents Jimmy Carter, and Barack Obama.

Craig Dudnick, an award-winning cameraman, produced the documentary and will be on hand at the presentation to discuss the program and answer questions following the showing.

We sincerely hope you will make plans to attend.
