Summer Reading 2026
What: Summer Reading at Alexander County Library, Bethlehem Branch, and Stony Point Branch
Who: Alexander County Youth – birth to 2026 high school graduates, also Alexander County adults (18+)
When: June – August, 2026
How: Sign up at your library. For Youth: Add up time each day spent READING or being read to (books, audiobooks, manga, magazines, web articles, newspapers, closed-captioning on favorite TV shows or movies, video game reading). It all counts! For Adults: Keep track of the number of pages you read (audiobooks count, too). How many pages can we all read together?! Report your time or page numbers to the library or directly in Beanstack.
Check the Alexander County Library Facebook and Instagram for programs and events.
Why: Not only does your child want to keep up reading skills so they don’t fall behind in school, but it’s fun to read whatever you want!
Returning This Year: We’ve made it even easier to sign up, keep track of time or pages, and report to the library. Check out
Available at https://alexanderlibrary.beanstack.org/ or with the Beanstack app. A quick, easy, fun way to participate in summer reading! If you were signed up last year, you only need to update your information and sign up for this summer’s challenge.
