With remaining funds from the Libraries Transforming Communities grant and a generous gift from Alexander Friends of the Library, Rocky ‘Possum now calls Alexander County Library home! Richard Sinclair’s whimsical metal sculpture – from which the painted rock tail extended during the 2021 summer learning program – resides in the children’s area of the library.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 22, 2022, 3 pm, when ROCKY ‘POSSUM’S OP’AWESOME ADVENTURE debuts at Rocky Face Mountain Recreational Area. The pages will display along the Tail Tale Trail at the park in special frames built by Mason James for his Eagle Scout rank. Join us for a hike, story, and celebration!
